Ban the Bible Responses

If you ever read the Bible, you will see for yourself why that essay was so
entirely out of context. The passages quoted where not only misrepresented,
their message is the complete opposite! You are a skilled writer, however, if
you were an ethical writer, you would not have inverted the truth. God hates
all sin. Incidents like adultery, incest, child sacrifice, etc., are placed
in the Bible to show the horrible outcomes and consequences of these sins. It
would be hard to explain that to you. It seems you had a point to prove and
set out to find backup for your opinion. If you had an open mind to hear the
message in its entirety, you would have seen a completely different message.
As for burning books like To Kill a Mocking Bird, and Huckleberry Fin, well
that is just silly. The wonderful entirety of a book can only be appreciated
by those who read it cover to cover. Those who have not read the book can
make no judgments. How can they? How can they have an opinion about something
they know nothing about? I would hold the same standard to those condemning
the Bible, if they have not read it, they are unable to have anything to say
about it.
I hope I can answer questions you have. God wants to show his love to you. If
you are willing to hear his message, let me know.

I unfortunatly visited your website this afternoon, I must say I was
very upset with almost all of it. The part that concerned me the most was
your speech on Christianity. In the beginning your talking about Columbine,
Paducha, etc. You began talking about Henry Hyde making your speech sound
like that was what it was about. But a paragraph later your sitting and
diminishing a whole religion?? What right do you have. You write your
speech on how Christianity has pornographic material, do you even know what
your writing about?? As a Christian I believe that God created us in his
image, and Jesus Christ was hung on the cross to die for our sins. People
wear crosses to remember that.
I can't even begin to tell you what an unhappy person you are.
According to your page you like absolutly no one. The reason things like
Columbine happen is NOT because of the Bible or Christianity it is simply
because of weapons, THE INTERNET, and PEOPLE LIKE YOU.
