It's a dry heat!

So obviously it is tolerable, right? This is my photo dump for my trip from Portland, to San Francisco, to Tucson, and (hopefully!) back to Portland. Enjoy! :3

I went to the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. It is half museum, half zoo, and everything is native to the area. It is super :) If you hate animals (you insufferable butthole!), then feel free to skip this page.

Another rattler, I love this little guy's eyebrows!

I believe this one is a ropesnake? It was really curious and kept wiggling at me, which is why the photo is a little blurry.

They had a little cave, I'm not sure if it was an honest to goodness cave or synthetic (probably the latter). The artists who work for them are AMAZING at what they do.

In the cave. "fRom PARKeR yAAh!" There were a lot more of these but I didn't want to use up all my camera's juice.

They had a big room full of gems and minerals. It was super duper. This display was behind glass.

The other side of the display.

Little cave of minerals. I forget what this one is :(

Malachite. The colours are really washed out, it was super pretty.

A rather suggestive-looking mineral cave. Forgot the name of this one too, but it was a really strong red.

A Passionfruit flower with a little bee hiding under the stamen.
